UK tourism industry identities honoured

Leading figures from the hospitality and tourism industries have received honorary awards from the London School of Hospitality and Tourism.
During a ceremony staged at the Park Plaza Riverbank London hotel, the identities were recognised for their outstanding contributions to their respective professions.
Honourees included Iqbal Wahhab OBE FRSA, businessman and restaurateur; Robyn Jones OBE, co-founder and chief executive of CH&Co catering company; Roland Fasel, regional director UK and general manager, The Dorchester; and Professor Peter Jones MBE, owner of Wentworth Jones Limited.
The ceremony also celebrated the achievements of the best performing students at the prestigious School. Prize-winners included students from Airline and Airport Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Event Management and Business Travel and Tourism.
University of West London Honorary, Iqbal Wahhab OBE said: “I have worked with the London School of Hospitality and Tourism for many years; they provide excellent training and develop industry leaders of tomorrow. Receiving this award is a great honour and I hope to continue my partnership with the School.”
