Germanwings to boost summer flight schedule

German airline Germanwings will launch its summer flight schedule next Sunday, with a substantially expanded range of routes.
The German airline will offer a total of 132 destinations in 31 countries from its locations in Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Berlin-Tegel, Hanover and Dortmund until 25 October.
Flights to Athens (three flights a week), Jerez de la Frontera (one flight a week), Jersey (one flight a week) and Reykjavik (two flights a week) are new to the destinations offered from Düsseldorf. Germanwings will include two additional new routes from Düsseldorf to Portugal with destinations in Porto and Faro in April. The range of flights to France will be supplemented by four flights a week to Marseille.
In the future, the airline will operate two flights a week from Berlin-Tegel to Palermo. It will also be possible to fly from both Berlin-Tegel and Hamburg to Izmir this summer with two flights a week from each. Bari, the capital of Apulia, and, from 22 July, Zagreb will be added to Hamburg’s range with one flight a week each.
The range of destinations offered from Stuttgart in the summer schedule will be rounded off with new flights to Nice (three flights a week), Amsterdam (six flights a week) and Valencia (four flights a week).
Routes from Cologne/Bonn – Pristina (one flight a week), Stuttgart – Tunis (one flight a week) and Stuttgart – Tirana (one flight a week) will also be added during the summer holidays.
