GX Airlines, a start-up carrier in southern China’s Guangxi region, will launch a host of new routes in the coming weeks.
The Nanning-based airline launched its first ever flight to Haikou, the capital of Hainan province, on 13 February 2015. And from 29 March it will accelerate its expansion plans with the introduction of new scheduled services to Sanya, Qingdao, Hefei, Xi’an, Mianyang, Yinchuan, Dalian, Yichang and Tianjin – all from Nanning’s Wuxu International Airport.
GX Airlines is a subsidiary of HNA Group, which controls several Chinese carriers, including Hainan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines and Lucky Air.
Following its domestic expansion, GX plans to commence flights to destinations in Southeast Asia by end of 2015, using its fleet of 10 Embraer E190 aircraft.
