European backpacker bus operator, Busabout, has moved to attract more young Indian travellers with the appointment of a new General Sales Agent (GSA) in the country.
India’s first backpacking tour operator, The Backpacker Co, will now represent Busabout in the Indian market, promoting the company’s hop-on-hop-off services.
“Busabout is a terrific way to explore Europe. It combines flexibility as well as has a structure to allay the fears of the first time traveller,” said Yogesh M Shah, co-founder of The Backpacker Co.
“This is a path-breaking product which will soon become extremely popular with the Indian youth.”
Busabout offers flexible travel passes for bus routes connecting 34 destinations across Europe. Departures run every other day between May to October, with pick-up and drop-off services from hostels and hotels. All coaches come with guides, reclining seats and onboard power points.
Busbout says that 65% of its passengers have not travelled in Europe before and that 70% are solo travellers.
