WHTS15 set for October 2015 in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is preparing to play host to the first World Halal Travel Summit (WHTS15).
The event has forged strong relationships and partnerships with leading authorities from global Halal communities. In addition, participants will be provided new business opportunities and revenue streams in the Halal marketplace. International and regional support includes government bodies, hotels, banking institutions, tourism boards, travel agencies, airlines and many more.
“An essential component of Malaysia Tourism’s Transformation Plan is to attract over 36 million tourist arrivals by 2020,” Mohamad Taib Ibrahim, director, Tourism Malaysia – Dubai.
The World Halal Travel Summit and Exhibition features two partner events – ITHMAR15 focusing on tourism investment in Halal travel sector. The other is TURATH15, focusing on cultural tourism experiences. Associated Seminar sessions will take place throughout the three days, covering topics including ‘Intra-OIC tourism trends and opportunities’ and ‘funding tourism projects within The OIC Space’.
The event is scheduled to take place from 19-21 October at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.
