Starwood Hotels & Resorts has launched its Le Meridien brand in Vietnam, with the opening of Le Meridien Saigon.
Set on the banks of the Saigon River, in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, Le Meridien Saigon features 350 rooms and suites, plus large lobby area called Le Méridien Hub, three F&B outlets, a fitness centre, spa and indoor pool with sundeck.
There is also more than 1,000m² of function space, including a 400m² ballroom.
“We are delighted to unveil the Le Meridien brand in Vietnam,” said Lothar Pehl, Starwood’s senior vice president of operations & global initiatives for Asia Pacific.
“Vietnam’s rich French influence is similar to that of Le Meridien. Our brand promises to ‘unlock’ each destination it enters, and is sure to ignite a sensory discovery for creative-minded travellers in Ho Chi Minh City.”
Le Meridien Saigon becomes the fourth Starwood Hotel in Vietnam, joining the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers and Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa. The company is also planning to launch the Four Points by Sheraton Danang and Sheraton Danang Resort in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
