The world’s first UFO Hotel is being created in California.
The US$30 million project in Baker, a small town in the Mojave Desert, is being developed by Luis Ramallo. It will feature 31 rooms on two floors designed within a full-scale alien spacecraft, where guests can spend the night in alien-themed rooms and dine in a space-themed restaurant.
It will also offer an alien spa and sci-fi fans will be able to get married in alien costumes. Employees at the hotel will dress in alien costumes and will use modern touch-screen technology to check guests in.
“We are tremendously excited about developing the first authentic UFO Hotel in the world, not just in America,” Ramallo said. “There are tens of millions of sci-fi and UFO fans in the world who have been dreaming of a venue just like this. They will finally have it.”
Ramallo is using the crowd-funding site Kickstarter to generate additional investment for the hotel. He believes sci-fi fanatics will be keen to contribute to the project.
Room rates at the UFO Hotel won’t be astronomical, at approximately US$300 a night, which Ramallo said would be “an incredible bargain”.
Ramallo has previously launched the Alien Fresh Jerky store near Area 51 in Nevada.
