Korean entertainment sensation Lee, Jun-ki was in Thailand over the weekend to to shoot a DVD and photo-album against a backdrop of Thai cultural and natural attractions.
The Korean superstar is hugely popular in his home country as well as in Thailand and many other parts of Asia. In addition to acting in a movie and drama series, his mini-homepage records more than 15 million visitors per day and he has huge fan followings across East Asia, the Tourism Authority of Thailand said.
The TAT had invited him for the exposure it would generate for Thai tourist attractions across all these markets, especially Korea.
Visitor arrivals from Korea in 2006 crossed the one million mark and are continuing to grow rapidly, thanks to strong flight connections and visa-free access.

TAT Governor Phornsiri Manoharn said, “Our market research showed us clearly that young people like to follow in the footsteps of their superstars, especially when traveling.”
