The Board of Airline Representatives UK (BAR UK) has appointed Colin Stewart, the UK general manager of Air Europa, a director of the organisation.
BAR UK has 12 directors, elected by its more than 70 members, and is the industry association representing the majority of airlines operating to the UK.
Stewart brings more than 14 years’ aviation experience to the role, and has worked at Air Europa since 2009, where he oversaw the airline’s launch in the UK.
He is also chairman of the Foreign Airlines Association (since 2014), and he sits on the UK SkyTeam Global Alliance Committee.
In response to the announcement, Colin said: “It is an honour to be appointed as a director of BAR UK, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to use my experience to serve this great organisation and its members”.
