‘Jeddah Festival 36’ eyes global tourism

In an effort to boost its tourism potential, the Jeddah Gov Prince recently launched the ‘Jeddah Festival 36’, as reported by Arab News.
The 30-day event has been launched to compete globally with its activities. The festival is being aptly titled ‘we made it longer’ with a keen focus on families. The activities vary from modernization, innovation and comprehension to culture, entertainment and social.
Jeddah is the first tourist destination in Saudi Arabia with an estimated number of five million tourists a year.
The Jeddah governor added: “Festivals and celebrations have become an important asset to various economies and became an integral part of development of strategic plans to improve its image. The festival also offers activities to help people with various investment offers in addition to its role in informing visitors about the history, culture and civilization of the city.”
