In a bid to cash in on the growing Muslim population, Jeju Island recently launched a new visitor guide to attract Muslim tourists.
The Guide to Jeju Island focuses on meeting needs of Muslim travellers by helping them to discover places to visit, shop, dine and pray on the South Korean Island.
The Guide has been aptly titled ‘Experience Jeju Island, A Traveller’s Haven’ and showcases Jeju Island’s range of landscapes, culture and variety of activities. The 12 page guide is available in English and has been compiled by Jeju Tourism Association and HalalTrip.com.
Young Jin Kim, president of the Jeju Tourism Association said: “We are very keen to welcome tourist from all parts of the world. We worked with HalalTrip to put together this guide so that Muslim visitors to Jeju can now enjoy all what we have to offer.”
The guide is divided into sections focusing on providing information on attractions and experiences across the Island including shopping. It also highlights places to dine featuring local seafood and vegetarian restaurants which have been rated by CrescentRating. The final section focuses on places to pray and mosques within the Island.
