AccorHotels continues to expand its upscale Pullman brand in mainland China, with the launch of its first property in Kaifeng, Henan province.
The new Pullman Kaifeng Jianye opened this month, located in the centre of city and 50 minutes’ drive from Zhengzhou’s Xinzheng International Airport.
It becomes the first internationally-branded upscale hotel in Kaifeng.
“We are proud to be the first international hotel group to deliver a world-class standard of upscale hospitality service to travellers in Kaifeng, one of the ‘Eighth Ancient Capitals of China’,” said Paul Richardson, chief operating officer for Accor Greater China. “The opening of Pullman Kaifeng Jianye sets an industry benchmark in this historic city.”
The new Pullman will offer 186 rooms and suites, plus Chinese and international restaurants, a bar and a lounge that overlooks a garden courtyard.
Other facilities include a gym, a heated indoor swimming pool, spa and extensive conference and banqueting space, including a 1,000-pax ballroom.
Pullman now offers a portfolio of more than 25 hotels in mainland China, many of which are located in the country’s up-and-coming second tier cities.
