London-based luxury flash deals site Secret Escapes has announced a strategic partnership with luxury travel website Jetsetter, which is part of the TripAdvisor family of travel sites.
The partnership will allow Secret Escapes to supply Jetsetter with flash-sale inventory for luxury properties around the world.
Secret Escapes will handle all “flash” deal bookings for Jetsetter, giving the latter’s 20 million membership in the US and UK access to hundreds of flash sales each week.
Properties are able to list their properties and offerings on either or both sites, with Secret Escapes boasting a worldwide customer database of more than 20 million (2.5 million of which are in the US, since launching the territory in late 2014).
Tom Valentine, COO of Secret Escapes said” “Jetsetter and Secret Escapes share a laser-focused travel deals DNA and are both in the business of inspiring people to take more and better holidays. Nine-out-of-ten Secret Escapes bookers have told us they weren’t planning the trip before they saw it on our site or in one of our emails – we’re immensely proud of that statistic, and our suppliers love the incremental revenue they make from working with us.
“Flash sales powered by permission marketing is now an established part of the luxury travel ecosystem – this strengthens the model in the sector by combining the operations of two successful, ambitious companies at scale.”
For Secret Escapes, this partnership follows hot on the heels of the acquisition of German operator Travista, and a $60m Series C investment round led by Google Ventures and Octopus Investments.
