A new discount card just launched in New Zealand is set to benefit not just tourists, but also Maori tourism.
The Manaaki Card can be used as a national and international phone card but it is also a discount card on Maori tourism products. The Maori Tourism industry which launched the card, says users have access to more than NZ$1,200 worth of offers and discounts from Maori tourism operators nationwide.
”The growth of Maori tourism is crucial to the growth of New Zealand tourism. The Manaaki card is another step forward in promoting some of the best of Maori tourism and provides tourists with a link back to their homelands,” said Associate Tourism Minister Nanaia Mahuta.
