More private aviation business in China
Airbus has begun to get more private aviation orders from customers in China and are expecting more this year.
“China has been leading the world in economic growth in recent years and this economic growth is driving growth in air travels,” David Velupillai, marketing director of Airbus’ executive and private aviation department, was quoted saying by Xinhua news agency.
Airbus was expecting China’s mainland, Hong Kong and Macau to contribute 15 of the 75 orders it may be getting from the Asia Pacific region.
Airbus declined to predict the number of orders Airbus was hoping to get from China’s mainland, adding it was difficult as some of the orders from mainland customers were placed via Hong Kong- based agents.
