The UK government has partnered with VFS Global to launch two new initiatives aimed at making it easier for Indian travellers to apply for their UK visas.
Under the new ‘On Demand Mobile Visa’ service, applicants are now able to complete the entire visa application procedure and enroll biometric data from their home or office, without the need to travel to a visa application centre.
And to complement the new service, VFS Global has also launched its new ‘Home to Home’ (H2H) initiative, which provides chauffeur services and assistance with form-filling and submission, along with pick-up and drop-off services. The service is aimed at out-of-town applicants who may have to travel to cities for their visa application.
“Innovation continues to be at the front and centre of our business development. The ‘On Demand Mobile Visa’ service is an outcome of these efforts and is a premium service that redefines flexibility and convenience for UK-bound travellers,” stated Vinay Malhotra, VFS Global’s chief operating officer for South Asia.
“Similarly, the H2H service also caters to the growing demand for greater personalisation and customer centricity in our services and we are confident these two new offerings will provide high levels of satisfaction for applicants,” he added.
H2H is now available for applicants in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Mumbai and New Delhi.
Nick Crouch, UK Visas and Immigration’s (UKVI) regional director for South & Southeast Asia, commented; “This is yet another example of UKVI and VFS working in partnership to offer visa applicants the service that they want.”
