Manchester’s Hotel Gotham has added another feather to its cap with the announcement that its restaurant, Honey, has been awarded the coveted Two AA Rosette award.
The hotel’s culinary offering consists of a modern twist on brasserie classics, reflecting the building’s art deco heritage and featuring local suppliers.
Inspectors commented that the menu, which includes items such as Beetroot Gravadlax, Lamb Hotpot, Coq au Vin, Manchester Tart, Warm Rhubarb and Pistachio Bakewell, Gotham Kirsch cake, Lancashire cheese and Cheshire ham, showed “consistency and precision”, alongside “fresh, seasonal, quality ingredients” as well as “clarity of flavours”.
Since opening its doors in April 2015, Hotel Gotham has picked up a number of awards including “The Coolest Boutique Hotel Award” at the Cool Venue Awards, as well as “Outstanding New Hotel” at the Independent Hotel Show Awards. Furthermore, it has recently been featured in Conde Nast Traveler’s 2016 Hot List, which lines up the 60 best new hotels in the world, as well as being the only hotel in the UK to feature in Escapism magazine’s Hip Hotel roster.
