Thomas Cook India launches domestic coach venture

Thomas Cook India has launched a new range of domestic coach holidays.
These pre-packaged products are billed as offering “affordable domestic holidays” in air-conditioned, Wi-Fi-enabled coaches. The company said it is targeting families, senior citizens, young couples and ad hoc groups of friends.
All ‘Coach Holidays’ packages will include transportation and accommodation in lower- to mid-scale hotels.
“Domestic tourism is witnessing a strong resurgence and the launch of our Thomas Cook Coach Holidays intends to catalyse this demand,” said Rajeev D. Kale, Thomas Cook India’s president & country head of leisure travel & MICE.
“Popular drive-down locations are seeing strong interest and for today’s travel-hungry yet price-sensitive audience. Our focus on simple, easy to book, seat-in-coach tours offers the unbeatable quality assurance of the Thomas Cook brand, coupled with great value pricing.”
Initial packages will cover destinations such as Kerala, the Golden Triangle, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, with departures from major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kochi.
