Rosemont Hotel and Residences will become the first skyscraper in the UAE to house a rainforest.
Located on Sheikh Zayed Road near Barsha Heights and The Greens, the dual-tower development will include a landscaped rainforest, according to Arabian Business.
The creation by ZAS Architects will comprise two skyscrapers, which were initially billed to be 47 stories high but will now be an extra six stories taller.
Newly released details include the use of technology to supply the illusion of tropical rain without actually getting wet, due to a sensory rainfall system that creates a 360-degree experience.
There will also be waterfalls, streams and a splash pool along the sand-less beach in which to cool down.
The humidity felt by guests in the rainforest will be real, as large supplies of stored recycled water will help mimic the climate of the Amazon or the Congo.
Other attractions at the hotel and residences include an entertainment complex with a skydive simulator, a bowling alley and luxury cinema.
