The family-run, luxury Devon hotel, Orestone Manor, has launched a ‘children-go-free’ deal, axing the extra room charge when family summer stays are booked directly.
The hotel has removed the £25 per night B&B surcharge in light of ever-increasing holiday prices.
The cost of holidays varies hugely from when children are in school to when they have their half-term and summer holidays, with recognised jumps of more than 150%.
Neil D’Allen owner of Orestone Manor commented: “With the recent news of increasing prices, we all need a ray of light this summer and what better way than giving families staycationing through July and August a special ‘Orestone kids-go-free’ package.
“Orestone Manor has a direct connection with the father of engineering, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, himself a keen learner at school and the brother-in-law of the founder of Orestone Manor, Sir John Calcott Horsley. We like to think by helping families this summertime, it’s something Kingdom Brunel himself would greatly have approved of.”
Nestled above the pretty coastal village of Maidencombe, and run by two chefs, Neil and Catherine D’Allen, the family-run hotel, has received numerous awards and recommendations from Conde Nast Johansens, TripAdvisors’ Hall of Fame, and twin AA Rosettes for fine dining.
With 14 character bedrooms, two more have just been added due to demand, Orestone Manor is a gem of a classic country house hotel run by an incredibly friendly, first-rate family-team.
New for 2016 and perfect for families – luxurious split level cottages, each with separate lounge, balconies, private outdoor hot tubs, a private parking space outside the guests’ own front door, and fabulous views.
Situated just a few metres from the main hotel, these Coach House suites offer a downstairs bedroom with king sized bed, flat screen TV, and a luxury bathroom featuring large shower, his and hers sinks and wc.
The bedroom leads onto a private courtyard with a hot tub, while upstairs is a living room featuring a sofa bed, further flat screen TV and handy kitchenette with a fridge, remote controlled mood lighting and a roll top bath with a view.
These spacious rooms are ideal for families or groups, and if booked together could comfortably accommodate a family/group of up to ten.
