Thistle Port Dickson Resort has celebrated its inaugural ‘Trees-tle Day’ at the resort’s Eco Park. During the event, Thistle Malaysia’s Regional General Manager, Dean Rossilli, joined with local dignitaries to plant local fruit trees including guavas, mangos and rambutans, adding to the 80 species or flora already in the park.
The Trees-tle Day will now become an annual event for Thistle Port Dickson Resort, which features a nine-hole golf course and 3km of private beach, as well as the Eco Park. Following the planting ceremony, the guests were invited to walk through the park and try the fresh fruits available.
“Although the Trees-tle Day is jest in nature, nevertheless the objective behind it is very real. It is to remind us to be grateful to Mother Earth for the environment we are blessed with and the role each of us must play to preserve this for our future generation,” said Rossilli.
