Travel data specialist ADARA has reported a 25% increase in flight bookings to the UK in the wake of Brexit, with American customers taking advantage of sterling’s fall, with seven out of 10 top cities booking hotels in London originating from the US.
In addition, there has been a 15% increase in UK flight searches to the UK, with the average daily room rate of hotel rooms starting to decline by 8%.
The research from ADARA analyses and compares post- and pre-Brexit travel trends, and is based on 450 million monthly unique travelers from 2016 prior to 23 June, compared to searches since the 23 June EU referendum.
