Air New Zealand has teamed up with Singaporean actor Chua Enlai in an effort to entice more travellers from the Lion City.
In a new video, entitled “Come on board our Dreamliner with Enlai”, the comedy actor portrays four different characters in the space of two minutes, with each character showcasing one of the aircraft’s cabin products. Air New Zealand deploys the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on its Singapore-Auckland route.
“This latest collaboration with Chua Enlai allows us to bring that creative approach to Singapore and better connect with this fast-growing visitor market.” explained Mischa Mannix-Opie, Air New Zealand’s sales & market development manager for Singapore.
Recent data from Tourism New Zealand shows that the number of Singaporean visitors travelling to New Zealand increased by 6,000 from June 2015 to June 2016, due in part to the joint flights operated by Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines.
The new video kicks off a month-long campaign which will see two #AirNZonTour events being staged in Singapore, at VivoCity from 20-21 August and Plaza Singapura from 27-28 August. These will allow Singaporeans to view the airline’s cabin products and win flights.
“The #AirNZonTour events will be a fantastic opportunity for Singaporeans to enjoy our award-winning products first-hand and to appreciate how the unique experience of visiting New Zealand begins the very moment they step onboard,” said Ms Mannix-Opie.
