Australian celebrity chef Luke Mangan embarked on his most ambitious culinary venture last week, when he opened a pop-up restaurant at the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Mangan served three bite-sized courses to diners on a single table perched 134 metres above the harbour.
The menu featured special versions of three of Mangan’s signature dishes: kingfish sashimi, organic egg crab omelette and Australian Lamingtons.
“It’s been a massive few months for my team and I, with our restaurants now officially found on planes, trains, ships and shore across five countries,” said Mangan.
“With that in mind, it only seems fitting to now also take our food to the top of Australia’s iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge! Showcasing Australia’s finest produce via our signature dishes most definitely compliments this amazing view of our beautiful city.”
The initiative was undertaken un partnership with BridgeClimb, the Sydney Harbour Bridge climbing experience. This is BridgeClimb’s second venture into the culinary space, following The Canape Climb, which invited corporate groups to scale the bridge and partake in a tasting session at the summit.
