Jannah Burj Al Sarab has launched its own hotel newspaper – Jannah Times.
The publication contains the market news, the menu of the day and miscellaneous hotel-related stories, and will be distributed to guests and diners visiting the property.
The four-page newspaper will be issued on a daily basis and is being pitched as a refreshing alternative to standard menus, hotel magazines and newsletters.
Nehme Darwiche, CEO of Jannah Hotels and Resorts, said: “The decision [to introduce this newspaper] comes ahead of the launch of our new concept business lunch. We were looking for more unique and vibrant alternatives from the traditional menu-order-serve process observed in hotels and restaurants. The Jannah Times will be the first of its kind in the region and we are excited to see the response our hotel newspaper will generate.”
The first edition of the newspaper introduces the new business lunch concept.
The distinctive feature of the business lunch is the dishes that are made from ingredients sourced daily from the Mina fruits, vegetables and meat market.
“It is a priority for us to serve the freshest food available for diners,” elaborated Mr. Darwiche. The three-course meal designed by Executive Chef Wafi Halimi blends modern French cuisine with Mediterranean flavours.
Overseeing the menu refresh was Jannah Hotels and Resorts Chief Operating Officer Mr. Martin Persson who commented: “The Jannah Times will replace the menus at the Dining Room. The objective behind this development is to introduce a more stylish method of customer engagement. Visitors can peruse the paper for the latest on food and beverage, and hospitality news.”
