UAE-based hospitality group JA Resorts & Hotels further demonstrated its commitment to supporting the local community by hosting an extra-special children’s day out event at its JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort, for children and staff of the Dubai Autism Centre (DAC).
Driving group-wide corporate social responsibility, with a focus on the needs of the local community, has always been a fundamental principle for JA Resorts & Hotels and last week’s activities were an opportunity for the employees of JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort to spend time with their VIP visitors from DAC.
The fun-filled day kicked off early in the morning with more than 100 children and staff from DAC arriving on JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort’s premises. The guests were welcomed by General Manager, Otto Kurzendorfer and a team of enthusiastic staff members at JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort with food, drinks and exciting surprises waiting to be revealed.
As the day went by, both children and adults got involved in the many memorable activities, from face painting, balloon creations, art and craft, music and dance, to plenty of interactive games for all ages.
“Giving back to the community remains one of our top priorities and as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy we are constantly looking for new opportunities to make a positive impact on the world around us,” said David Thomson, Chief Operating Officer, JA Resorts & Hotels.
General Manager of JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort Otto Kurzendorfer added: “It is always such a pleasure for us to welcome special guests to the Golf Resort. My team and I all wanted to ensure the children and staff of DAC had an unforgettable experience, as it is important for us to help and support our local communities whenever we are able to. I think that in providing them with such a fun day out we all perhaps enjoyed it just as much as they did!”
Sara Ahmed Baker, Autism Program Head of Dubai Autism Center, said she was “overwhelmed by the warm welcoming and the heartfelt hospitality shown by all the JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort’s team members”.
“Today was such a beautiful day and we were all genuinely happy to see the big smiles on the children’s faces. On behalf of the Dubai Autism Center, I would like to thank JA Resorts & Hotels group for their great initiative.”
Over the years, JA Resorts & Hotels has proved to be a strong support for the local community through many community involvement activities, including hosting special events such as this one and supporting other local initiatives including the Al Noor School for Children with Special Needs, Breast Cancer Association, Centre for Autism and Foresight.
