ITP – International Travel Partnership, one of the world’s fastest-growing travel management consortiums, recently staged its annual global conference in Bucharest attended by TMC partners and suppliers from almost 40 countries.
The theme for the event was ‘Selling the Value’, and the agenda covered a range of subjects presented by ITP partners and management together with guest speakers. Sessions included “What is the value of a Travel Management Company?”, “What value do TMCs bring from an airline perspective?” and a panel discussion focused on value relating to customer expectations.
Also covered were sessions on multinational client implementation, responding to bids and future technological developments within ITP.
Richard Lovelock, general manager of ITP, said: “Increasingly, TMCs are challenged in their efforts to indicate value against price and demonstrate that their professionalism can provide efficiencies not always evident through other booking sources. It is essential that we get the message across to all our clients and suppliers that ITP is in the business of providing value for money through process efficiencies and an appropriate systems infrastructure.”
Fourteen preferred suppliers presented their products and services to all ITP partners during a Supplier Workshop, including two airlines, the ITP Corporate Hotel Programme, and specialist technology providers.
