AirAsia continues to expand its connections between Malaysia and Indonesia with the announcement of two more routes.
On 10 January 2017, the low-cost carrier will start operating thrice weekly flights between Johor Bahru and Jakarta. And then a week later on 17 January, AirAsia will resume its Kuala Lumpur-Solo service with three weekly flights.
“Over the past year, we have worked hard to strengthen our connectivity from other hubs in Malaysia. We are delighted to announce another international route connecting not only Johoreans, but the southern community directly to Jakarta; as well as providing more links for Indonesians to come to different points in Malaysia,” said Spencer Lee, AirAsia’s head of commercial.
The new Johor-Jakarta service will leave the southern Malaysian hub every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday at 1930 and land in Jakarta at 2020. The return flights will then leave at 2050 and get back to Johor Bahru at 2340.
On the KL-Solo route, flights will leave the Malaysian capital every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 0050 and arrive in Solo at 0235. The return flights then depart the Central Javan city at 0300 and arrive back in KL at 0625.
As with all AirAsia flights, these two new routes will be operated using single-class Airbus A320 aircraft.
