Kenya Airways has expanded its route map in India following the signing of a codeshare agreement with Jet Airways.
Effective this week, the Kenyan national carrier will placed its ‘KQ’ flight code on Jet’s domestic services connecting Mumbai with Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
This will enable passengers to connect between these cities and Nairobi, using Kenya Airways twice daily flights between Mumbai and the Kenyan capital. Jet will place its ‘9W’ code in these international services.
“The expanded partnership will enable customers of both carriers to derive maximum benefit from this cooperation,” said Kenya Airways’ group managing director & CEO, Mbuvi Ngunze. “It will enable us to offer our customers seamless connections to three Indian cities.
“We see a lot of demand into domestic India from Kenya and East Africa, with passengers travelling mostly for business, leisure or health tourism,” he added.
The codeshare applies to Jet’s seven daily flights to Delhi, five to Ahmedabad and five to Hyderabad.
