Bhaya Group, which operates cruises in and around Vietnam’s Halong Bay, has unveiled a refurbished boat and new itinerary.
The company’s revamped Au Co cruise boat is now preparing to embark on a new three-day, two-night cruise exploring even the most remote regions of Halong Bay. The new ‘Halong Bay and Gulf of Tonkin Discovery’ package becomes the first and only three-day cruise that encompasses Halong Bay and neighbouring Lan Ha Bay.
The new itinerary also features a series of environmentally-sensitive activities. Guests will be offered the chance to visit the village of Viet Hai on Cat Ba Island, and either cycle, trek or take an electric cart ride through the jungle. They can also visit the Au Co organic farm – a cooperative venture between Bhaya and the villagers, aimed at supporting eco-friendly agricultural practices.
The new-look Au Co has received upgrades to its reception area, spa, restaurant, bar, library and sundeck. A new open-air cinema will also now allow passengers to watch a film on the deck, and a new French chef, Andre Bosia, has been hired to create the onboard cuisine.
“Bhaya Group is known for… combining authentic Vietnamese culture and hospitality with ultimate comfort and luxury,” said Bhaya’s managing director, Ly Thuy Huynh Nhu. “The Au Co cruise’s commitment to quality goes beyond simply refurbished ships however, as we continuously work to make the experiences more unique and more eco-friendly as we welcome a new generation of discerning travellers.”
