Asia specialist Wendy Wu Tours has added three new departures to Japan for spring 2017, giving customers the final chance to book for next year.
Appearing from late March to mid-April, the cherry blossom season is eagerly awaited by both locals and tourists alike. Known as ‘Sakura’ in Japanese, they’re the country’s national flower and create beautiful pink landscapes in both the cities and countryside when in bloom.
There are two new departure dates for the 11-day ‘Jewels of Japan’ trip (16 March – 26 March & 25 March – 3 April) and one new departure for the 13-day ‘Discover Japan’ trip (2 April – 14 April).
“The cherry blossom season is a magical time in Japan, with both locals and tourists keen to admire the beauty of this fleeting phenomenon. With the original dates already sold out, Wendy Wu Tours is delighted to have secured three more departures to see Japan at its very best. We’re expecting these trips to sell out fast so would advise customers to book quick!” said Laurence Hicks, Managing Director, Wendy Wu Tours.
The cherry blossom season is a symbol of new beginnings and traditionally acts as the start of the rice-planting season. The arrival of the season is carefully monitored by the Japanese Meteorological Agency and followed on the news by the general public.
