Thailand’s Dusit International has expanded its global portfolio with the opening of new hotels in the UAE and China.
The hotel group has launched the dusitD2 Kenz Dubai and DusitPrincess Resort Panzhihua, which is located in southwest China’s Sichuan province, taking its total collection to 29 operational hotels, 16 of which now lie outside Thailand.
“China and the UAE are both key markets for us and we are delighted to bolster our presence in each location,” said Lim Boon Kwee, Dusit’s chief operating officer. “The opening of the dusitD2 Kenz Dubai and DusitPrincess Resort Panzhihua… greatly signals our commitment to global expansion based on market specific needs. We are confident that both new properties will now lead the way for further developments across our entire brand portfolio.”
The dusitD2 Kenz Dubai is located next to Dubai Internet City metro station and offers 237 rooms, Thai and Mediterranean restaurants, a rooftop pool, spa, fitness centre, restaurant and boardroom. It becomes Dusit’s fourth hotel in the UAE, joining the Dusit Thani Dubai, Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi and Dusit Residence Dubai Marina.
Located in the south of Sichuan province, DusitPrincess Resort Panzhihua is a 206-room resort focusing on health tourism. Facilities include an on-site medical centre and a Chinese restaurant.
Dusit now operates four properties in China, but it has a further 20 projects in the pipeline which are schedule to open over the next five years.
