Air New Zealand’s has released its latest novelty in-flight safety video, which sees an all-star cast showcase the main tourism sites in the country’s Northland region.
The new “Summer of Safety” video follows Shortland Street’s Jayden Daniels as he travels around 10 Northland locations, including the Bay of Islands and Hokianga, accompanied by supermodel Rachel Hunter and Game of Thrones actor Joe Naufahu.
Stuntwoman Zoe Bell and her canine sidekick Blossom the British Bulldog, IndyCar legend Scott Dixon and Olympic bronze-medallist Eliza McCartney also appear in the film.
“One of our goals at Air New Zealand is to inspire visitors to travel beyond the traditional gateways to discover the warm welcome and breath-taking landscapes on offer in our regional destinations,” said Air New Zealand’s general manager of global brand & content marketing, Jodi Williams. “Our safety videos have an impressive global following, collectively attracting more than 100 million views and gaining significant international media exposure.
“This latest edition is a great opportunity to not only deliver a safety message, but also to showcase the very best of the North to help drive economic benefit for the region.”
Air New Zealand hosted cast members and other guests at a premiere event in the Bay of Islands town of Kerikeri this week, where attendees were treated to a preview of the safety video. It will now be rolled out across the airline’s fleet.
