Starwood has signed agreements to operate its first two hotels in Libya – Sheraton Tripoli and the Four Points by Sheraton Tripoli.
Construction on both hotels is scheduled to be completed by January 2010. Both hotels will be situated on nearly two miles of Mediterranean beachfront, minutes from the centre of Tripoli, the historic, seaside capital of Libya.
Sheraton Tripoli and Four Points by Sheraton Tripoli will form part of a mixed-used development including a high-quality marina, retail space and offices to be known as “Hay el Andalous,” near the new Zaha Hadid-designed national parliament building.
Sheraton Tripoli will offer 295 rooms and nearly 15,000 sqft of meeting and conference space. Four Points by Sheraton Tripoli will be adjacent to the Sheraton Tripoli and will have 214 rooms.
