Abu Dhabi-based V Five Continents Hospitality Group announces that its unique approach to hotel management in the Middle East region, which focuses on ‘Wellness or Sharia’ compliant hotels, has reaped significant dividends in the two years since the company’s inception.
Chief Executive Officer and Partner, Richard Abou Jaoude , revealed ahead of the company’s participation in this week’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM), that its portfolio of Sharia compliant ‘Wellness hotels’ has grown from two to fourteen in the Middle East and North Africa region since 2007 – with more to come.
“Our Wellness hotels embrace a range of unique offerings from properties being green i.e. environmentally friendly, to culturally sensitive (such as halal food) as well as being alcohol and pollution free, all of which contribute to our philosophy of healthy living for our guests,” he said. “Since our introduction to the market two years ago we have witnessed growing demand for this type of product offering -particularly in the area of religious tourism. As a result we have an expansion programme that will see us grow to 20 hotels and resorts by the year 2013.”
