Qantas has announced plans to charge people extra for reserving economy class exit-row seats with extra legroom on international flights, according to a report in The Australian. Passengers looking for more legroom will be charged an extra AU$160 (US$114) on long-haul flights, and AU$80 per sector on short-haul flights to Asia and New Zealand.
An airline representative was reported saying; “This will give customers greater choice and access to seats that offer more leg room.”
