CIBTM 2009 to welcome record numbers

02 September 2009: With just 7 days to go until CIBTM opens on the 8 September at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) in Beijing, the event is set to be the biggest ever.
This year’s show is 35% larger than the previous edition, which took place in 2007 and this year has attracted 297 international and local exhibitors. 4900+ Pre-Scheduled Appointments have already been scheduled by over 280 Hosted Buyers from America, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific guaranteed to attend CIBTM. An impressive extra 1600 Pre-Scheduled Appointments, representing a 50% increase, have already been planned. Over 5900 visitors have already pre-registered for the three-day event, up 9% on the final pre-registration figure for the previous event.
The event taking place from 8th to 10th September, co-hosted by the Beijing Tourism Administration (BTA), is the first international trade exhibition to take place at the CNCC ahead of it’s official opening in November.
The increasingly popular Professional Education Programme will offer 13 seminars, all with simultaneous translation, delivered by an impressive panel of international and regional speakers. Topics covered will include global trends in the meetings industry, best practices, case studies and guidance for operating international and within the region enabling participants of all level to advance in their profession
