Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) is considering a plan to invest hundreds of millions of baht to install full-body scanners at passenger checkpoints. According to a Bangkok Post report, the management of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport plans to raise the issue of installing the technology, known as millimetre wave imaging, when the AoT board meets next Wednesday. The move follows the attempted terrorist attack on a US-bound flight over Christmas.
