Kempinski donates to quake-hit Yushu

Kempinski Hotels in China has raised funds for earthquake victims in Yushu. Reto Wittwer, Chairman and CEO of Kempinski Hotels, and Rene Schmitt, President of Kempinski China, were proud to take the lead in making donations.
"A total of 239,675 yuan was collected by the staff of Kempinski Hotels in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Xi’an and Yinchuan, has been transferred via the Red Cross to Yushu to help the victims," said Mr Wittwer of the Kempinski relief effort.
The century-old Kempinski Hotel group has never forgotten its social responsibilities and despite its constant growth around the world, it still holds many public benefit activities. For instance, as a partner of the Stop TB Partnership, Kempinski holds worldwide activities to stop tuberculosis and serves as a bridge between the Stop TB Partnership and donators.
In China, Kempinski is committed to providing services that meet international norms, and carrying forward its long tradition of shouldering social responsibilities, by taking an active part in contributing to public welfare activities, such as tree planting, environmental protection and disaster relief.
