Hainan to resume land development

China’s holiday island province of Hainan will resume land leasing and real estate development approval in the near future, Xinhua has reported. Approval of new real estate projects in Hainan had been suspended for two months amid fears that the market could be overheating. Land prices had been soaring in the island since the Chinese government announced plans to develop the province’s tourism industry.
