Emirates has launched its service to Houston this week, using a Boeing 777-200LR.

Emirates said their second U.S. gateway will provide the fastest link between Texas and the UAE – 15 hours from Houston and a return journey of 17 hours.

Emirates New York route has been operating since 2004 and grown to become a three-flights-a-day service. 

The Houston service will operate three times a week, increasing to daily on February 1.

The new Boeing 777-200LR features eight private suites in First Class, 42 seats in Business and 216 in Economy.
