TUI Deutschland GmbH recently launched its ‘Summer 2013 brochure’.
The launch was conducted in the presence of Christian Clemens, CEO-TUI and an accompanying delegation. Officials were also present from Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai (DTCM) which included Hamada bin Mejren, executive director for business tourism – DTCM.
Indicating that Germany is among the main countries for tourism across the globe, Bin Mejren said ever increasing numbers of German tourists to Dubai reflects the German people’s interest in tourism within the region.
Further elaborating Bin Mejren said: “This summer reservations 2012 saw a 163% rise whereas initial bookings for this winter season 2012/2013 are expected to hike by 58%”
Stephen Bohanken, Manager of holidays and cruise tourism at TUI, said the main reason behind the rise is the increasing number of Dubai hotels, as well as the advantages each and every hotel here has. “TUI programs now span 110 hotels and around six exclusive trips.”
Dubai’s rapidly-expanding hotel industry for the first nine months of the year (January-September 2012) featured a 23% jump in the number of German tourists who reached 229,000 as compared to 2011.”
