Accor doubles MGallery Collection in Australasia
Accor has added three more properties to its MGallery Collection in Australia, doubling its portfolio in the region.
The company has added the Sydney’s Harbour Rocks Hotel and two properties in Melbourne, The Como and Hotel Lindrum. Including Hotel St Moritz in Queenstown, New Zealand, MGallery’s portfolio in Australasia now stands at six hotels.
Located in the centre of Sydney’s Rocks district, the Harbour Rocks Hotel dates back to 1887 and was used as an art gallery in the 1970s and ’80s. In underwent a major renovation in 2012, turning it into an upscale boutique hotel.
In Melbourne, The Como hotel is located on Chapel Street, and has also undergone a multi-million dollar renovation since its time as a Mirvac property. The 107-room hotel has a rooftop swimming pool. Finally the Hotel Lindrum, which joined the MGallery Collection this month, is a 59-room boutique hotel named after famed billiard player, Walter A. Lindrum.
The MGallery Collection now features more than 50 hotels worldwide.
