Best Western has officially launched its first ever upscale Best Western Plus hotel in the Philippines; the Best Western Plus Antel Hotel in Makati City.

The opening, which coincided with the completion of the hotel’s new Serenity Wing, was marked with an event on 19 November, attended by officials from Best Western and the hotel’s owners, Antel Land Holdings.

The completed hotel now features three towers – A Venue, Antel Spa and Serenity – with a total of 210 suites, plus two restaurants, three lounges, eight function rooms, two swimming pools, two fitness centres, two business centres and a spa.

“Being awarded the ‘Plus’ status entails a lot of responsibility. Hand-in-hand with the Best Western International, we are committed to giving much more in all aspects of the hospitality business – an enhanced level of service, greater comfort in a modern cosy setting,” said Jen Wong, Vice President for Operations of Antel Land Holdings.

Best Western is on a major expansion course in the Philippines, where it plans to double its portfolio from six to 12 hotels in the next 14 months.
