Middle East market key to corporate jet growth: Airbus Industry research supports the fact that the Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJs) have a strong presence in the Middle East market. The other necessity is the need for wide body aircraft. These two requirements were fulfilled by Airbus ACJ318 and ACJ319 which were on display at the MEBA show in Dubai. The Airbus ACJ318 is operated on VVIP charter flights by Al Jaber Aviation (AJA), and an ACJ319 belongs to a private Middle East customer. The ACJ318 offers features such as mood lighting, humidifiers, reduced noise, reworked linings, LED lights, new seats as a third option and high-definition in-flight entertainment will be available in the last quarter of 2013. Additionally, these aircraft include formalising options such as the fuel saving Sharklets, a shower, a cinema lounge and WiFi. Further, a gala cabin concept is being introduced on ACJ340 whereby VIP private rooms, dining lounges, bedrooms with king size beds, washrooms and showers are all part of the enhanced interior along with 42” LCD screens.“The Airbus Corporate Jet division continues to see a growing interest from the Middle East market,” said Francois Chazelle, Vice President – commercial, Airbus Corporate Jet.
