Tiger launches Changi connection service
Tiger Airways will launch its new connection service, Tigerconnect, at Singapore’s Changi airport next month.
Effective 1 February 2013, Tiger Airways, SEAir and Mandala Airlines passengers will be able to transfer at Changi airport without the need to enter Singapore and clear immigration. Baggage will also be checked through to the passenger’s onward flight.
“We are delighted to begin the new year with this collaboration with Changi Airport Group (CAG) to offer our passengers seamless connectivity between flights, convenience and cost savings. We have rolled out a slew of new products and services last year, and Tigerconnect is yet another step forward in terms of our offerings,” said Ho Yuen Sang, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore.
Tigerconnect is available across the 50+ destinations offered by Tiger, Mandala and SEAir, and on joint itineraries with Scoot. An airport transfer feature will be incorporated in all Tigerconnect flights transiting at Changi. Passengers in transit for more than eight hours can choose to travel without the airport transfer feature should they wish to leave the airport.
“We are delighted to partner Tiger Airways and Mandala Airlines to provide transfer passengers with
a smooth and hassle-free travel experience,” said Lim Ching Kiat, CAG’s Senior Vice President for Market Development. “With an innovation such as Tigerconnect, more passengers will get extra time to enjoy the exciting array of world-class shopping, dining, relaxation and entertainment amenities available at Singapore Changi Airport.”
The new service follows the launch of the Changi Connects platform that was launched by CAG in November last year.
