Bahrain Air has ceased operations, cancelling all flights from today (13 February).

The carrier, which had been operating for five years, is the latest victim in Bahrain’s political crisis two years ago while has also faced stiff competition from Bahrain government-owned Gulf Air and other rivals based in the area.

The airline collapsed after financial and operational difficulties and a government restriction on its activities.
