Travel and tourism stakeholders from Abu Dhabi are embarking on a five-day multi-city roadshow in China this week.
Led by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), an eight-strong delegation of the emirate’s tourism stakeholders will join the roadshow from 12-16 May, including representatives of hotels, travel agents, attractions, and Etihad Airways.
The roadshow will visit Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, and will feature presentations and networking with trade partners.
Delegates are trying to build growth momentum in tourist arrivals from China which has become the emirate’s fourth largest overseas market for hotel guests.
In the first quarter of 2014, 32,259 Chinese nationals checked into the emirate’s hotels and hotel apartments, which was a 208% rise on the same period of 2013. They delivered 50,253 guest nights and stayed 1.58 nights on average.
