Airberlin and JatAirways are planning a code-share agreement, which will be put in place in the course of this summer.
The agreement is aimed at collaboration between the two airlines on selected routes within Europe and to USA. Airberlin plans to place its code on JatAirways’ flights between Germany and Belgrade. In return JatAirways will place its JU code on flights across Airberlin’s extensive route network. Via the Airberlin hubs in Berlin and Dusseldorf there are convenient connections to Europe and the US, such as Chicago or New York.
Stephan Nagel, senior vice president alliances & cooperation Airberlin, said, “Code-share agreements allow airlines to realise mutual synergies and to extend their global coverage by means of their combined route networks. Our guests thus benefit from a more attractive route network and a comfortable and seamless travel experience.”
