British Airways returns to Korea
The arrival of flight BA17 at Seoul’s Incheon International Airport at 0830 today marks the successful launch of British Airways’ newest long-haul route and its return to Korea after a 14-year absence.
“With the arrival of flight BA17 this morning and our proud return to Korea, we celebrate a milestone in our commitment to increasing our presence in Asia,” Jamie Cassidy, British Airways Area General Manager, Middle East and Asia Pacific, said after arriving on the flight.
“The Republic of Korea is increasingly both a cultural and economic giant and a market with huge potential. We welcome this opportunity to strengthen trade and tourism between Korea and the United Kingdom.”
From today, BA17 (to Seoul) and BA18 (return London) will operate six times a week non-stop between London Heathrow and Seoul Incheon, served by a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. British Airways passengers will have a choice of four cabins, including the airline’s new First class, Club World business class with fully flat beds, World Traveller Plus premium economy, and World Traveller economy class.
